Laboratory testing confirms adhesion, gloss retention, and wear resistance

The performance of PANAVIA Veneer LC was evaluated in vitro at the Dental Advisor Biomaterials Research Center. Tests focused on determining the bond strength and long-term surface stability under simulated clinical conditions. Bond strength to enamel, dentin, lithium disilicate, and zirconia was assessed after six months of artificial aging. In addition, wear resistance was evaluated using a toothbrush abrasion protocol, and by measuring depth of wear, surface roughness, and changes in gloss.

Investigators reported that PANAVIA Veneer LC demonstrated excellent adhesion properties, along with high gloss retention and a very even wear pattern. Limited surface roughness after abrasion was highlighted as a factor that may help reduce staining and bacterial adhesion over time. Based on these results, PANAVIA Veneer LC was awarded the Dental Advisor Research Award, recognizing its strong performance in the aesthetic veneer cement category.
