En su exposición se centran de manera particular en la tecnología que las sustenta y en el uso de la nueva generación de adhesivos universales y cementos de resina adhesivos.

¿Podría ser una buena idea empezar a procesar el óxido de circonio translúcido en la clínica dental? En opinión del Dr. Mike Skramstad (instructor de CEREC y dentista en Orono, Minnesota) y el Dr. Sameer Puri (director de CAD/CAM en CDOCS), sí, sin lugar a dudas, porque podría suponer un cambio a mejor para todos los implicados en la práctica dental. En su charla, estos dos expertos describen de manera detallada su flujo de trabajo en la clínica dental, incluidos los pasos del acabado y el pulido.

¿Cómo seleccionar el mejor óxido de circonio para un caso específico? En su exposición, los reconocidos maestros ceramistas y técnicos dentales Aki Yoshida (Gnathos Dental Studio en Weston, Massachusetts) y Nondas Vlachopoulos (AestheticLab en Atenas, Grecia) presentan sus estrategias para el éxito. Ellos se centran principalmente en la selección del tipo de óxido de circonio más adecuado y en la técnica de acabado según la indicación y las necesidades específicas del paciente.

El Dr. Gerard Chiche (Facultad de Odontología de la Universidad de Augusta, Georgia) y el Prof. Dr. Markus B. Blatz (Facultad de Odontología de la Universidad de Pensilvania, Filadelfia, Pensilvania) saben las respuestas. The MOD restoration on the maxillary left second premolar of this patient was in need of replacement. It was decided to create a direct composite overlay with CLEARFIL MAJESTY™ ES Flow - Super Low A3, CLEARFIL MAJESTY™ ES-2 Classic A2. CLEARFIL™ SE BOND 2 was used after selective etching of the enamel to establish a chemical bond to enamel and dentin. For the finishing and polishing procedure, abrasive discs were used first, followed by silicon carbide rubber instruments and the CLEARFIL™ Twist DIA system.

Dental photography as a valuable documentation aid

The main purpose of photography in dentistry is documentation. The aim is to collect as much information as possible under reproducible conditions. For this purpose, the camera used, its accessories and the format and lighting of the intra- and extra oral recordings relevant to dentistry must be standardized. Under standardized photographic conditions, the recordings made can be compared with one another, even if the later recordings are made only after a long period of time and by different photographers. Only in this form can dental photography be used as a valuable documentation aid. The standards described by Wolfgang Bengel in 1985 are still valid, but they have to be updated and adapted to technical innovations.

In this webinar, the current development in the field of dental photography and related areas will be briefly explained.
