Jotautas Kaktys is a passionate Lithuanian restorative dentist and clinician, deeply dedicated to dental science. Known as a true “dental geek,” he strives to understand every process down to the molecular level. At the high-end &SMILE clinic in Kaunas, he specializes in functional and minimally invasive biomimetic dentistry, handling everything from single restorations to complex full-mouth rehabilitations. His expertise extends across both analog and digital workflows, including implantology and TMD treatment.

Welcome to Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania and one of Europe's best-kept secrets. Rich in history, culture, and architecture, the city combines a beautifully preserved UNESCO-listed Old Town with a vibrant modern atmosphere. Its walkable city center, cozy cafés, and green spaces make Vilnius a wonderful place to explore during your stay.
The Gate of Dawn is the only surviving gate of Vilnius' original defensive walls and one of the city's most treasured monuments. Above the gate is a chapel that houses the revered painting of the Blessed Virgin Mary, attracting pilgrims from around the world. Whether you're interested in history, architecture, or religious heritage, this landmark is an essential stop during your visit.
Founded in 1579, Vilnius University is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Eastern Europe. Wander through its picturesque courtyards, admire the blend of Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, and Classical architecture, and visit the magnificent library and St. John's Church. The university remains a vibrant center of education and culture in the heart of the Old Town.
Often regarded as one of the finest examples of Flamboyant Gothic architecture, St. Anne's Church is famous for its intricate façade made from 33 different kinds of red brick. The church has remained almost unchanged for over 500 years and is admired by visitors from around the world. According to legend, Napoleon Bonaparte was so captivated by its beauty that he wished he could carry it back to Paris "in the palm of his hand."
Perched on a hill overlooking the city, Gediminas Castle Tower is the most iconic landmark of Vilnius and a symbol of Lithuanian independence. Climb to the top to enjoy spectacular panoramic views over the Old Town, the Neris River, and the city's modern skyline. The tower is all that remains of the Upper Castle, dating back to the 14th century, and offers a fascinating glimpse into Lithuania's medieval past.
Located in the impressive Cathedral Square, Vilnius Cathedral is the spiritual heart of Lithuania. The elegant neoclassical building has been rebuilt several times throughout history and now stands as one of the country's most important landmarks. Step inside to admire its beautiful chapels, or simply enjoy the lively atmosphere of the square, where locals and visitors gather throughout the day.
Want to discover these highlights at your own pace? We've created a self-guided walking route that takes you past all five landmarks through the charming streets of Vilnius. Along the way, you'll experience the city's rich history, impressive architecture, and vibrant atmosphere while exploring some of its most iconic sights.
The route is approximately 7 km long and takes around 1.5 hours to complete (excluding sightseeing stops), making it the perfect way to discover Vilnius during your stay!
