History Kuraray Co. Ltd., which is the parent company of Kuraray Medical Inc. was founded in 1926 in Kurashiki, Japan, by Magosaburo Ohara, a true innovator. As he later would state: “I can see 10 years into the future.” Over the years, this forward-thinking outlook has proved to be at the very core of our pioneering drive. Kuraray Co. Ltd. initially began to develop dental products in the 1970s followed by the introduction of its first adhesive key technology – the MDP monomer – in 1981.
NORITAKE CO., LIMITED which is the parent company of Noritake Dental Supply Co., Limited was founded in 1904 in Nagoya Japan. It’s ceramic tableware and industrial abrasion wheel are well known globally.
2012 and beyond In the years to come, both Kuraray Medical Inc. and Noritake Dental Supply Co., Limited focused on advancing their core competencies. Then, in 2012, they joined forces to form Kuraray Noritake Dental Inc. This combination of long-standing expertise in polymer-based organic with ceramic-based inorganic chemistry has enabled Kuraray Noritake Dental Inc. to develop a whole range of groundbreaking dental products.
