With TEETHMATE™ DESENSITIZER, sensitive teeth are not only treated effectively and durably, but for the first time naturally. The product was designed to create hydroxyapatite (HAp). Hydroxyapatite is created exactly where it is needed, closing dentinal tubules and enamel cracks. And because it is natural, it is also tissue-friendly, so it may be used with confidence.
Two bottles do the trick: TEETHMATE™ DESENSITIZER is composed of a powder and a liquid which are mixed to create HAp. It may be utilized to invisibly cover exposed, mechanically treated or prepared dentin. If used on prepared tooth structure prior to the application of dental adhesives or cements, TEETHMATE™ DESENSITIZER will not impair their bond strength. The product may also be applied to a patient’s teeth before and after bleaching for the prevention and treatment of whitening-related dentin sensitivity.
- Treatment of dentin exposed by toothbrush abrasion, gingival recession, periodontal disease and/or acid erosion.
- Treatment of dentin after mechanical tooth cleaning, scaling and/or root planing.
- Treatment of the tooth surface before and after bleaching.
- Treatment of prepared dentin for fillings and/or prosthetic restorations.
TEETHMATE™ DESENSITIZER actually crystallizes HAp from the ground up, nicely sealing dentinal tubules and enamel cracks. The newly created HAp is invisible and acts as if it were the patient’s own. But how is it possible to build HAp? It’s all about the right calcium and phosphate ion ratio and the right pH combined with Kuraray Noritake’s special technology.
Various studies show that the application of TEETHMATE™ DESENSITIZER is effective. The product occludes the dentinal tubules, reducing the dentinal fluid movement and the consequent hypersensitivity. TEETHMATE™ DESENSITIZER was also found to be clinically effective in reducing pre- and postcementation sensitivity*.

For application of TEETHMATE™ DESENSITIZER, the powder, which is composed mainly of
calcium phosphate, and the liquid, whose chief component is water, are mixed first. Then, the
paste is rubbed into the affected area. The material sets into hydroxyapatite, providing an
instant reduction of hypersensitivity by sealing the dentinal tubules and microcracks in the
enamel.
